Marie Curie Museum

Maria Skłodowska-Curie (Polish: Maria Skłodowska-Curie, November 7, 1867 – July 4, 1934), often known as Marie Curie or Madame Curie, was a Polish-born French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first person to win two Nobel Prizes and the first female professor at the University of Paris.

To honor this Nobel Prize-winning scientist, her former residence has been converted into the Marie Curie Museum (Marie Curie Museum, Warsaw). It is an unassuming building consisting of three rooms, where photography is allowed for free. The museum displays materials related to her research, as well as some personal items she used, such as chemical analysis charts and laboratory equipment. Marie Curie studied in Paris in her early years, later married Pierre Curie, and together they researched radioactive elements, earning Nobel Prizes in both Physics and Chemistry for their work on radium.
