Art MIT: Originality at the Core of Taiwan International Arts Festival

The 2011 【Taiwan International Arts Festival】 features avant-garde works that have captivated European stages, as well as traditional creations rooted in Taiwan’s local culture. This year’s grand opening production, the musical “La Traviata,” was created in Taiwan by Tadashi Suzuki, the master of Asian cross-cultural theater. It collaborates with Chen Wen-pin of “No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti” and Wu Peng-feng of “Seven Days After Father’s Death,” and incorporates famous love songs from the history of Taiwanese pop music such as “When Will You Return?”, “The One I Long For,” and “Love Limited-Time Offer,” reflecting a unique take on the theme of “love.”
