European and American performance groups join the Children's Play Festival, offering locals discounted package tickets

As the favorite summer vacation of children is about to begin, the Yilan Children's Play Art Festival will also kick off on July 7. This year, in addition to the water play activities and the Mobile Suit Gundam-themed exhibition that children love, from July 13 to August 17, every Friday at 7:30 pm, the "Dance. Play. Joy" series of performances is planned to be held at the Yilan Performing Arts Center, totaling 6 shows. Around 12 foreign folk music and dance troupes from Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa will participate in the performances. Ticket sales start today, with single-show tickets priced at NT$150. This performance event also offers special discounted package tickets for Yilan residents, with each package containing 10 tickets sold for NT$1,000; high school and vocational school students in Yilan can obtain free tickets at the Performing Arts Center with their student ID or other proof.

The "Dance. Play. Joy" series of performances will be held on 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, and 8/17, totaling 6 shows. A special discounted package ticket exclusive to Yilan residents is also available, including 10 tickets for NT$1,000, with no restrictions on which shows to attend, and a total of 100 packages. These must be purchased at the Yilan Arts Hall with relevant identity proof. This year, a free ticket program is also planned for high school and vocational school students in Yilan. As long as they present their student ID or diploma for the current year, they can get free tickets at the Performing Arts Center starting from the Tuesday one week before each show’s performance, with a limit of 50 tickets per show.

In addition, visitors holding tickets from the 2012 Yilan International Children's Play Art Festival can purchase a single discount coupon for NT$100 at the Performing Arts Center; audiences holding tickets from the series of performances can also exchange their tickets for Children's Play Festival coupons. This offer does not apply to the free ticket program for high school and vocational school students.
