The Wilanów Poster Museum is situated in Warsaw, inside the renowned racetrack of Wilanów Palace. It is the world’s first poster museum and boasts the largest collection of art posters in the world. Thanks to the distinctiveness of its exhibits, it draws numerous visitors throughout the year. The Wilanów Poster Museum was founded in 1968, and has been hosting the International Poster Biennale since 1966. It moved to its current location at Wilanów Palace in 1994.

Posters are one of the oldest forms of commercial mass communication, also used by non-commercial organizations and public institutions. Their advantages include timely information dissemination, low cost, and ease of production. Posters for well-known brands, such as those for classic films, stage plays, and celebrities, often become cherished collectibles among enthusiasts.

The Wilanów Poster Museum houses a collection of over 57,000 art posters from every corner of the world. The works held here hold significant artistic and collectible value, created by notable artists including Henryk Tomaszewski, Andy Warhol, Ikko Tanaka, and Jan Lenica. The Polish collection alone includes more than 30,000 posters dating from 1892 to 2004. In addition to showcasing Polish and international art posters, the Wilanów Poster Museum also hosts contemporary art exhibitions on various themes.
