Ulanqab City Square is located in the Jining New District, adjacent to the north of the Ulanqab Municipal Party and Government Building. Covering an area of over 70,000 square meters, it was planned with an investment of 21 million yuan. Construction began in May 2003 and was completed in October 2004. Ulanqab City Square is a comprehensive municipal square that integrates administration, entertainment, and leisure.

The main entrance area of the square features a massive stone transported from Hongshankou in Siziwang Banner, inscribed with “Ulanqab League Stone.” Centered around the League Stone, the scenic walls on both sides of the entrance and the stage steps are adorned with bas-reliefs depicting 300 years of the city’s significant historical events and commendable historical figures. The main sculpture on the central axis, the Shenzhou V re-entry capsule, is held aloft by six sacred hadas (traditional Tibetan scarves), symbolizing the soaring aspirations of Ulanqab City.
