Ulanqab Museum

Ulanqab Museum covers an area of 48,570 square meters, with a total construction area of 20,716.81 square meters. It is the only regional-level museum in Ulanqab City, responsible for cultural heritage protection, archaeological excavations, collection preservation, exhibition and education-related tasks across the city. The architectural style of the museum reflects a strong sense of the times and distinct ethnic characteristics, giving it uniqueness and symbolic significance within the region. The museum includes permanent exhibition halls, temporary exhibition spaces, a multifunctional hall, a children’s interactive area, a cultural relics storage facility, and office spaces. In addition to housing collections, it provides various display spaces, fully embodying its role in public education and cultural dissemination. The permanent exhibitions at Ulanqab Museum primarily feature historical artifacts, including relics and site photos unearthed or collected within the Ulanqab region since the Paleolithic Age, along with related charts and introductions, offering a comprehensive reflection of the lifestyle, production methods, and social activities of northern ethnic groups.
