The temple was built by Danbalabuji, a noble from the banner. The entire monastery covers an area of about 1 square kilometer. Its structures are all built in traditional Tibetan stone-and-timber style, grand and magnificent in scale, nestled against mountains and near water, offering picturesque scenery. The monastery complex includes five duogong (prayer halls), four labuleng (Tibetan: living quarters for lamas), four temple storehouses (used for storing and managing property), as well as over 360 lama residences. The five duogong include Saihulesen Duogong (the Divine Hall) and Chaogeqing Duogong.<大型颂经活动处)、珠得布独贡、却热音独贡(佛教理论颂经处)、乃登独贡。
