The legendary British band The Beatles appeared in Hong Kong, stepping onto the Avenue of Stars at the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong on Victoria Peak, and walking across the Abbey Road pedestrian crossing inside the museum. This year (102) marks the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles’ first album, *Please Please Me*. The wax figures of the four band members—John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—are touring the world, meeting fans in Hong Kong with their new looks.

To commemorate this milestone, the four Beatles first visited the Sky Terrace 428 at Peak Galleria to enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of Hong Kong from above. They then arrived at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, where they met guests in a classic scene modeled after London’s Abbey Road. This iconic setting is based on the cover of *Abbey Road*, the last album recorded by the band before their breakup. On the cover, the four Beatles are seen walking across the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios. Since then, the album cover has become one of the most classic and most imitated images in music history. Abbey Road has also become a famous tourist attraction in London and a pilgrimage site for music fans, and it has been designated as a historical and cultural heritage site by the British government.

Formed in Liverpool, England in 1960, The Beatles released their debut single *Love Me Do* in late 1962 and quickly rose to fame. Beatlemania swept across Britain the following year. By early 1964, the four-piece band had become international superstars and spearheaded the British Invasion of the United States music scene. Even though the legendary band disbanded in 1970, decades later, their status as one of the greatest bands in music history remains undiminished.
