Viborg is located in Denmark’s Central Denmark Region and serves as the administrative center of the region. It is also home to the High Court of Jutland and the Western High Court. In addition, the city is one of the largest in Denmark and one of its most historic.

The most famous attraction in Viborg is Viborg Cathedral, one of Denmark’s largest granite churches. Construction began in 1130, and it has undergone several restorations since then. It not only bears witness to the long history of the city of Viborg but also showcases the local cultural landscape. It is also renowned for the biblical artworks painted by Danish artist Joakim Skovgaard. Adjacent to Viborg Cathedral is the Viborg Museum, established in 1937, which offers a panoramic display of the outstanding works of four generations of artists from the Skovgaard family. Additionally, the Viborg City Hall, with its multifaceted and complex architecture, is another great spot for visitors. The café on the top floor of the building leads directly to the rooftop garden, where you can enjoy views of Viborg Cathedral.
