The dining slots for the “Boston lobster all-you-can-eat” option available in April and May (Friday to Sunday dinners, Saturday and Sunday lunches) opened for reservations on March 1. Given the previous phone crash incident, a mere 141 minutes saw all 6,880 available seats for these dining periods in April and May—Friday to Sunday dinners and Saturday and Sunday lunches—sell out instantly, matching the sell-out speed of celebrity concert tickets.

This “Boston lobster craze” has also swept through restaurants across Taiwan, with many hotel operators following suit to offer the delicacy, but Taiyuan Miyako Marriott Hotel still provides the best value. Shi Huafang, manager of the hotel’s F&B department, stated that to meet the demand of more lobster enthusiasts, starting from April, the lobster offering hours have been increased—from originally being limited to Friday to Sunday dinners, now also including Saturday and Sunday lunch periods. In addition, operating hours have also been adjusted;Weekend dinner service now starts at 17:30 and runs until 21:30, with no restriction on customer dining duration per hour, delivering a truly unlimited all-you-can-eat experience—a move that has been very well received by customers.
