Horsens is a city in eastern Jutland, Denmark, governed by the Central Denmark Region. It is a vibrant and dynamic city. The city has often hosted concerts by world-renowned musicians, such as performances by The Rolling Stones and Madonna in 2006.

For many years, Horsens has been committed to developing cultural events, the most famous of which is the “European Medieval Festival,” held annually on the last weekend of August since 1995. During the festival, part of the city center is transformed back to a medieval setting, with modern facilities such as streetlights and telephone booths completely covered by wooden panels. Every March, the city also hosts a Crime Festival, attracting crime fiction writers from around the world. The Danish Industrial Museum showcases the history and development of Denmark’s industry, highlighting technological advancements and improvements in workers' living conditions.
