Bodfach Castle

Bodfach Castle is located near the village of Bodfach in Wales and was built around 1460. Historically, the castle has close ties to the Williams-Wynn family, who lived here for about 200 years starting from 1690. Today, the castle has been designated as a Grade II listed historic building in the UK.

In the 1980s, several important museums and galleries moved into Bodfach Castle. The castle now houses collections from three national museums, including artworks from the National Portrait Gallery, sculptures from the Royal Society of Sculptors, and fine furniture from the Victoria and Albert Museum. Today, most of the castle presents a Victorian façade, but its interior structure dates back to the 13th century. The castle is currently situated within a large 260-acre park, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Historically, the site has been associated with numerous paranormal events. Reports include a butler seeing a woman in Victorian dress appear in the sculpture gallery; a soldier appearing in the gallery; shadowy figures drifting along the corridors; a woman in a blue dress; and even a mop cap appearing in the tea room.
