The Wales Millennium Centre is located in Cardiff in southwest Britain, covering a construction area of 35,000 square meters and costing £106 million, ranking as the most ambitious project within the UK’s Millennium projects series. It opened in 2004 and is one of the world’s renowned arts and cultural destinations.

The Wales Millennium Centre is home to the world-famous Welsh National Opera. The center houses eight arts organizations, eight rehearsal studios, and a 1,950-seat main theatre, making it the largest performing arts venue in Wales and often referred to as the “national stage” of Wales. The name of the building directly incorporates “Millennium,” and its wooden interior walls are designed to enhance acoustics. The dome on the exterior facade features an inscription from a poem by Welsh poet Gwyneth Lewis.

The success of the Wales Millennium Centre lies in the geometric depth created by the ceramic tiling in the concert hall. The main entrance on the ground floor is situated beneath the rising auditorium seating, with additional entrances on either side leading to the foyers and café. The foyer extends all the way to the outdoor plaza, and its openness creates a delightful atmosphere. The architectural design accommodates events both indoors and outdoors, with an oval sunken plaza outdoors that seats 5,000 and can host concerts in the summer.
