The galleries at the National Museum Cardiff feature a stunning collection of paintings, drawings, and sculptures spanning 500 years. You can admire outstanding works by European Old Masters, one of the finest collections of European Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art in the UK, as well as the largest exhibition of modern and contemporary Welsh art. In the Evolution of Wales gallery downstairs, you can journey through time from the Big Bang and the formation of the Earth to explore Wales’ transformation. Get up close to real moon rock fragments, volcanic rocks, dinosaur fossils, trilobite fossils, and mammoth fossils.
