Wrexham is situated on a relatively flat plateau between the mountainous region of northeastern Wales and the Vale of Dee. It is the center of the Wrexham County Borough in the UK, borders England, and is the largest town in northern Wales. At the same time, it serves as an important commercial, retail, and educational hub in northern Wales.

The magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct soars over the Vale of Dee and is a key part of the Llangollen Canal. Completed in 1805, it is the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain, listed as a Grade I building and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Welsh Comic Con, which attracts thousands of visitors, the majestic St. Giles' Church, Erdigg Hall built between 1684 and 1687, Chirk Castle dating back to 1295, the Wrexham County Museum showcasing local history and art, as well as the historic buildings lining the streets, are all well worth visiting. Additionally, the shopping streets lined with numerous brand-name stores are a paradise for shoppers, and the unique boutiques, cafés, and traditional cuisine are definitely must-see attractions.
