Caernarfon is an honorary town and port in Gwynedd County, Wales, UK, situated along the A487 road on the eastern bank of the Menai Strait, overlooking the Isle of Anglesey (Isle of Anglesey). It is also a historic town in Gwynedd County with a long history. The area around the Menai Strait boasts rich natural resources, which led to human settlement in Caernarfon as far back as prehistoric times.

The most famous attraction in Caernarfon is Caernarfon Castle, which guards the route to the fertile lands of Wales. As part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd,” it was inscribed in 1986. There are also many other sights, such as the Eagle Tower, known as the most elaborately decorated medieval military structure, and the magnificent King’s Gate. The historic Market Hall is one of the oldest buildings in the area. The Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum and Caernarfon Aviation World are great places to explore the region’s history and military significance. Additionally, the Caernarfon Green Park Forest and Celtica Retail Centre are also worth a visit.
