Belfast Botanic Gardens is a public botanical garden located in the northern part of Belfast. It first opened to the public in 1828, initially as a private garden, and became a public park in 1895. It has been highly favored by scholars, students, and office workers.

Covering an area of 28 acres, Belfast Botanic Gardens are among the most important components of Belfast’s Victorian heritage and have become a popular destination for locals, students, and tourists alike. The gardens are renowned for their Palm House, built in 1840, which is one of the world’s earliest iron-framed glasshouses and houses palm plants from around the globe. In addition to the Palm House, the gardens feature the Tropical Ravine house, a children’s play area, flower beds, a rose garden, a rock garden, and more. A variety of plants gather here, giving off their distinctive fragrances.

Belfast Botanic Gardens also frequently host concerts and music festivals, and major holiday celebrations are sometimes held here, attracting music enthusiasts.
