Belfast City Hall is one of the must-visit attractions in Belfast, located in the heart of the city at the center of Donegall Square. It was completed in 1906. The building is a prime example of neo-Renaissance architecture and also stands as a testament to the success of Belfast’s Industrial Revolution.

Designed by Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas, the grand and imposing structure can be admired from any angle when viewed from above. The hall features Portland stone columns, a pediment, and surrounding parapets, with a highly symmetrical façade. The interior is adorned with oak and marble flooring, while the main staircase, crafted from three types of Italian marble, is exquisitely elegant and remarkably refined.

The most eye-catching sculpture at Belfast City Hall is undoubtedly the statue of Queen Victoria in the garden, whose dignified and graceful expression commands reverence from all who see it. Nearby, there is also a memorial to the victims of the Titanic and a statue of Edward Harland, the shipbuilder behind the Titanic.
