Introduction: Bern is known as the "City of Bears," and the most iconic representation of this is the Bear Pit. Legend has it that the first animal hunted by Duke Berthold V became the symbol of Bern, and when he shot a bear, it was chosen as the emblem of this beautiful city. For eight hundred years, the Bear Pit has been preserved as a historical monument, and to this day, visitors can still see the endearing and gentle bears here. Transport: Take bus No. 12 from the train station and get off at the Baerengraben stop. Tickets / Opening Hours: Opening hours: 9:30–17:30 from May to September, 9:30–16:30 from October to April.
