European rail companies, in partnership with various railway operators, are offering autumn promotions that allow travelers to book popular tickets at discounted rates. These include both European rail passes and point-to-point tickets, with savings of at least 20% off, and some tickets even available at up to 60% off. The promotion period is limited, so travelers can start purchasing rail passes and point-to-point tickets from today to enjoy various discount benefits. To make usage more convenient, most “point-to-point tickets” are available as e-tickets.

For rail passes, the Eurail Global Pass (covering 24 countries) and Select Pass are available at 20% off (non-peak season promotion), with the promotion valid until December 31 and usage until March 31, 2014; the France Rail Pass is 20% off (applicable to most validity periods), with the promotion valid until November 30 and usage until June 30, 2014; the Germany Rail Pass offers 20% off for 7- to 10-day passes, along with a free city card and additional benefits, with the promotion valid until December 7, 2013, and usage until January 31, 2014; the Britain Rail Pass and Britain Rail England Pass are 20% off (off-peak promotion), with the promotion valid until February 15, 2014, and usage until February 28, 2014; the Swiss Travel Pass features a “one free day promotion” (4-day pass + 1 free day), with the promotion valid until December 27, 2013, and usage from now until December 31; the Swiss Mountain Travel Pass allows holders of valid 4-day or 8-day Swiss Travel Passes to take unlimited mountain trains or cable cars to nearby designated peaks, with the promotion valid until December 15, 2014, and usage from January 1 to December 23, 2014.
For train tickets, traveling between London and Paris or Brussels on the Eurostar allows you to book a standard ticket for 40 euros or a standard premier ticket for 99 euros, with the promotion valid until November 30 and usage until June 30, 2014; traveling between Paris and Brussels on the Thalys high-speed train takes just 1 hour and 20 minutes, with second-class tickets priced at only 25 euros. First-class tickets between Paris and Amsterdam are only 69 euros. The promotion also applies to tickets to more destinations, with the promotion period from November 7 to December 20, 2013, and usage from January 6 to March 14, 2014.
Traveling on the TGV Lyria between France and Switzerland, second-class tickets for round trips between Paris and Geneva, Lausanne, Basel, Bern, and Zurich are only 30 euros, while first-class tickets are just 55 euros, with the promotion valid until November 30 and must be used within 90 days of purchase; the advanced City Night Line also offers great deals, with second-class tickets for any train on 17 routes across eight European countries—including Berlin, Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, and Prague—available for only 46 euros, and first-class tickets for only 76 euros, with the promotion valid until November 30 and usage from November 15, 2013, to February 28, 2014. Travelers can also take the French–Italian TGV high-speed train between Paris and Milan or Turin, enjoying the magnificent scenery of the French and Italian Alps, with second-class tickets at only 40 euros and first-class tickets at only 50 euros. The promotion is valid until November 30, 2013, with usage generally within three months of booking, but if booked from November 15, 2013, the usage period can be extended to March 17, 2014.
