Bunratty Castle is a masterpiece of refined Irish architecture, showcasing a collection of exquisite medieval furniture and decor gathered by its owners. The original structure was built in the 13th century by a Norman named Thomas. Due to wars, the castle has changed hands many times, but it is the most well-preserved and thoroughly restored castle in Ireland.

The castle is located on the banks of the River Shannon. Along the Shannon in Ireland, there are four majestic and stately castles, and Bunratty Castle is one of them. The world-renowned "Bunratty Medieval Banquet" takes place on the second floor of the castle. Every evening for decades, a feast reminiscent of a medieval family dinner has been held, starting with a classical music performance followed by dining. The banquet offers special traditional cuisine and drinks, and every night’s event is fully booked.

The pub near the castle is said to be over 400 years old, and some visitors stay for days just to enjoy it. It retains a strong Irish rural charm, with traditional Irish music, local beer, and the warm hospitality of everyone, as if they were old friends, all set against the backdrop of the towering ancient castle—creating a harmonious and unique scene.
