Taiwan’s Working Holiday Programme with Ireland will officially take effect on January 1st of next year (2025). The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) has started accepting applications for Working Holiday Authorisations from Taiwanese nationals as of today. Taiwanese citizens aged between 18 and 30 can apply to visit Ireland for tourism, undertake educational or training activities of no more than six months, and engage in non-permanent employment.

Since Ireland does not have a representative office in Taiwan, applicants need to visit the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service website (www.inis.gov.ie), select “Immigration,” then choose “Working Holiday Programme Between Ireland and the Republic of China (Taiwan),” and download the “Application for a Working Holiday Authorisation.” After preparing the necessary documents, applicants can send their application directly to the INIS. For details on the application process, please refer to the INIS website or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website (www.mofa.gov.tw).
