Dunluce Castle is located in County Galway in the province of Connacht. It is a 16th-century castle built in 1520 and has now become a major tourist attraction in Ireland, renowned as the most photogenic castle in the country.

Standing 75 feet tall, its sturdy construction has allowed its defensive walls to be well preserved. The people who once lived in the castle were known to be generous and knowledgeable, and after their passing, their generosity and wisdom seemed to linger on. Legend has it that if you ask a question at the castle’s main gate, by the end of the day you’ll receive an answer — adding to the castle’s mystique.

Every summer, from April to October, the castle is open to visitors, and medieval banquets are held here every evening. During the banquets, Irish literary poetry is recited and traditional Irish music is performed. The castle is open daily during the summer from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the banquets take place from 5:30 PM to 8:45 PM.
