Powerscourt Waterfall is located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, nestled in a valley surrounded by high mountains. Standing at 121 meters tall, it is the highest waterfall in Ireland and a popular spot for picnics and barbecues, attracting many visitors.

Powerscourt Waterfall is situated at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains, flowing quietly down from the cliffs. As you approach the waterfall, you’ll find yourself surrounded by beech, larch, oak, and pine trees, many of which are over 200 years old. The waterfall is most beautiful in autumn, when its white cascade blends stunningly with the vibrant reds, greens, yellows, and other autumn hues. Many families enjoy driving to the base of the waterfall to picnic while admiring the breathtaking scenery. The open area at the bottom of the waterfall features a well-equipped playground where playful children can also have their fun.

In addition to viewing the waterfall, visitors can also spot birds such as chaffinches, cuckoos, willow warblers, and sika deer. With a bit of luck, you might even see one or two lively red squirrels.
