Leopardstown Racecourse is located in the Leopardstown area of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland, about 8 kilometers south of Dublin city. Like other Irish racecourses, it hosts the Irish National Hunt Festival and handicap cross-country races.

Leopardstown Racecourse was founded by Captain George Quin. Its basic structure was modeled after England's Sandown Park Racecourse and was completed in 1888. It received recognition from the Irish Turf Club in 1967. The venue hosts many important races throughout the year, with approximately 22 meetings held annually, attracting numerous visitors. In addition to serving as a racing facility, Leopardstown Racecourse also features the Leopardstown Golf Course and Club at its center, along with a variety of surrounding amenities including shops, a fitness center, the Leopardstown Pavilion, cafes, restaurants, bars, and snack areas.

The Irish Champion Stakes is the most significant race held at Leopardstown Racecourse and is also one of the most important events in the world, taking place every September and attracting many well-trained horses.
