Blennerville Windmill

Blennerville Windmill is situated in the village of Blennerville, Tralee, County Kerry, and was constructed circa 1800 by Rowland Blennerhassett. It is a tower grain mill that operated for nearly 30 years.

The windmill has five floors in total. Initially used as a grain mill, it later served as a shop before falling into disrepair by 1890. It was not restored until 1989, eventually becoming one of the most eye-catching landmarks on Tralee Bay. Today, the windmill functions as a museum, primarily showcasing the history of Blennerville and the story of this historic mill. Visitors can see the still-operational milling machinery and the internal mechanisms of the windmill. There is also a shop and a restaurant on-site. Guests can climb to the top of the windmill to enjoy stunning views of Tralee Bay through telescopes and take some of the most picturesque photos of the bay.
