The National Maritime Museum of Ireland is located in a church in the southeastern part of Dublin. The church that houses the museum was constructed in 1837 to serve the needs of sailors setting out to sea. It was later converted into a museum dedicated to preserving Ireland’s maritime legacy. The museum’s collection includes historic ships and ship models, sailors' uniforms, maps, and a variety of navigational instruments and equipment.
