Louis Glucksman Gallery

The Louis Glucksman Gallery is located within University College Cork in the city of Cork. It was unveiled in 2004 by Mary McAleese, the eighth President of Ireland, and is named after its benefactor, Louis Glucksman.

The building housing the museum is hailed as one of Ireland’s finest public structures, having won multiple awards and ranking among the country’s most renowned architectural works. This university gallery serves both as a cultural hub and an educational institution, promoting the exploration, innovation, and study of visual arts. With a collection of approximately 350 works, the gallery focuses on contemporary art and includes pieces by numerous Irish artists, encompassing sculpture, oil painting, printmaking, photography, and paper-based art. Open year-round to visitors, it invites art enthusiasts to engage with and learn from its existing holdings.

The Louis Glucksman Gallery is free and open to the public. Its opening hours are from 10:00 to 17:00 Tuesday to Saturday, and from 14:00 to 17:00 on Sundays. The gallery is closed on Mondays. Art lovers and visitors are warmly welcome.
