Mount Errigal, commonly referred to as Errigal, is located in County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland. Its highest peak stands at an elevation of 751 metres, making it the tallest mountain in County Donegal and the 76th highest peak in Ireland.

Mount Errigal is also the southernmost, steepest, and highest mountain in its mountain range, and is known locally as one of the “Seven Sisters.” The Seven Sisters include Muckish, Crocknalaragagh, Aghla Beg, Ardloughnabrackbaddy, Aghla More, Mackoght, and Errigal. The closest of these to Errigal is Mackoght, which is sometimes also called Little Errigal.

The mountain is primarily composed of quartzite, and when bathed in the light of the setting sun, its upper slopes glow a stunning pink—its most breathtaking feature. Additionally, unlike many other mountains, Errigal maintains the same distinctive shape no matter the viewing angle. In the 2009 "Irish Walks and Hikes" voting poll, Mount Errigal was selected as "Ireland’s Most Iconic Mountain."

Mount Errigal has also served as a filming location for several movies and music videos, including the Irish films *Hunger* and *Your Highness*, as well as the timeless classic *How Can I Keep from Singing?*
