The Liceu Grand Theatre is Spain’s most important opera house and is recognized as the second-largest in Europe, after the Paris Opera in France. Between the 19th and 20th centuries, the most famous artists and music groups performed here with tremendous success, and the theatre has received global praise. With a history of over 150 years, the Liceu has become an essential part of Barcelona’s cultural heritage. Despite having endured fires and artillery attacks, it still stands strong. The theatre combines its classic ornamental style with modern elements, resulting in a majestic and opulent atmosphere. It is fully furnished with advanced, modern equipment and offers a wide range of performances including opera, dance, symphony, and choral concerts.

The Liceu Grand Theatre has 2,292 seats, each providing an excellent view of the stage and exceptional sound quality. Around 300 performances are held here each year, featuring highly acclaimed artists.
