The second Ferrari Land to open in Barcelona, expected in 2016

The globally renownedFerrari Land(Ferrari Land) is now set to have a “branch,” located in the suburbs of Barcelona. Ferrari has recently signed an agreement with the local PortAventura Resort to build a Ferrari Land spanning over 75,000 square meters within the park, and it is expected to open in 2016.

The world’s first Ferrari Land opened in Abu Dhabi in 2010, and now Ferrari has decided to establish a theme park of their own in Europe as well. Once completed, Ferrari Land is expected to attract visitors with what will be Europe’s tallest and fastest straight-line accelerator roller coaster. In addition to Ferrari Land, the world’s first Ferrari-themed luxury five-star hotel will also be built within PortAventura. Designed with an F1 racing car front as its exterior, the hotel is expected to feature 250 guest rooms, restaurants, and simulation driving games among other facilities.
