Näs Castle is a 17th-century manor located near Gothenburg, Sweden, situated by a lake in Västra Götaland County. From the late 19th century to the early 20th century, Näs Castle gained fame through its art school, and for over fifty years, it was widely recognized as “Sweden’s window to the world.”

Näs Castle is a historic white-preserved building that has been designated as a cultural heritage site. It now operates as a museum open to the public from May to September each year. During the off-season, group tours by prior appointment are available. Other historic buildings on the estate are also open to visitors, including a restaurant, a café, an arts and crafts shop, and the Swedish Heritage Foundation. The site also hosts a variety of public events throughout the year, such as concerts, major happenings, and conferences.

Näs Castle is now one of the largest venues for art and craft events in Västra Götaland County. The former stables now house an equestrian school and the Näs Riding Association. The castle grounds feature expansive green lawns and winding paths, perfect for picnics and outdoor activities, attracting around 250,000 visitors annually.
