Wuliquan Spring

Wuliquan Spring in Arxan is one of the many natural springs in the area, continuously flowing with naturally high-quality drinking mineral water. It earned its name because it is located five li (approximately 2.5 kilometers) from the center of Arxan City. The spring’s water temperature, chemical composition, and flow rate remain unaffected by seasonal changes. The water temperature remains between 3–6°C year-round, with a daily discharge of 1,054 tons, and the water level is around 223 meters. The water is rich in metasilicic acid as well as thirteen essential trace elements required by the human body—including lithium and strontium—and all major elements. It has a softening effect on the aorta and provides therapeutic benefits for conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, nervous system disorders, and stomach ailments. It also aids in promoting gastrointestinal motility and supporting bile function. The spring water is cool, refreshing, and leaves a sweet aftertaste, making it a premium natural mineral water. The late General Yang Chengwu referred to Wuliquan as “a miraculous spring under heaven, a holy water of mankind,” while renowned mineral water expert Professor Zhang Bofu praised it as “the world’s most extraordinary and unique spring.” The “Arxan” brand mineral water is sourced from Wuliquan and is a recommended product of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association.
