Remagen

Remagen is located on the left bank of the Rhine River in the district of Ahrweiler, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is just an hour’s drive from Cologne and is home to the University of Applied Sciences Koblenz.

Remagen features many elegant and well-preserved buildings, sacred churches, graceful castles, and historic relics, making it a wonderful place to explore history. The Apollinaris Church was built between 1839 and 1842 on the site of the former medieval St. Martin's Church. It is designed in the Neo-Gothic style, and its exquisite interior frescoes are particularly eye-catching. The Peace Museum is located in the towers of the Remagen Bridge and opened to the public in 1980, primarily telling the historical story of the Remagen Bridge. The Arp Museum mainly houses artworks by the German-French sculptor Jean Arp, making it a great place to learn about his life and admire his outstanding pieces.
