The Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires opened on September 21, 2001, primarily to preserve, research, and promote Latin American art from distant eras.

Also known as "Malba," the museum is a non-profit institution that offers free admission. It not only houses the remarkable Costantini Collection but also serves as a dynamic cultural hub. The Costantini Collection includes over 200 selected works, such as drawings, paintings, sculptures, and objects, created by 78 artists from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Uruguay, and Venezuela. These works allow visitors to truly appreciate both the coincidences and differences in the art of great Latin American artists, offering deeper insight into the history of Latin American art.

It’s considered a dynamic cultural center because it regularly hosts a variety of activities, such as film festivals, shopping events, debates, guided tours, programs for infants and toddlers, as well as other cultural and educational activities, all of which effectively promote the development of Latin American art.
