The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is listed as one of the world's Catholic wonders. It is located at the foot of the sacred Tepeyac Hill, not far from the city center, and is a complex built against the mountainside. Moreover, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the altar can be seen from any angle. In the area near the highway at the base of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, there is a large square, slightly smaller than Mexico City's Zócalo in the city center. However, on December 12th, the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, this square can easily accommodate thirty to forty thousand people. On the east side of the square stands a very modern arch reminiscent of a triumphal arch, adorned with contemporary artworks. On the west side is the new Basilica, one of the distinctive features of the Guadalupe Cathedral complex — a fully modern structure that emphasizes functionality and embodies the beauty of contemporary design.
