Olympic Park Tennis Court

The Olympic Park Tennis Court is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Located within Beijing Olympic Park, it borders the North Fifth Ring Road to the north, Beichen West Road to the east, Baimiao Village Road to the west, and the Archery Field to the south. The total construction area is 26,514 square meters, with a total seating capacity of 17,400. In 2008, tennis competitions were held here.

The Olympic tennis courts are located on the western side of the park. All three main courts feature a regular dodecagonal design, with each of the 12 sides forming a separate stand, complemented by the off-white concrete exterior that resembles 12 petals stretching into the sky—like three blooming flowers in a forest. The tennis courts incorporate a new design not yet seen in other world tennis venues: a natural ventilation and circulation cooling system. The 12 spectator stands are equipped with devices that capture natural airflow, which is then circulated throughout the venue via internal facilities and directed through vents around the court to cool the playing surface. This effectively lowers the temperature on-site and alleviates the heat for spectators. The main court and Court 3 are designed with three activity areas at varying heights based on the natural slope of the land, creating three rectangular platforms that rise progressively from west to east, blending into the forest backdrop. The outer edges host the warm-up courts, while the highest platform accommodates the central and Court 1. The spectator activity area is situated above the platforms, with VIPs, athletes, and media located below, skillfully adapting to the functional needs of the competition and achieving a three-dimensional separation of spectator and participant flows.
