The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is an art museum located in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Established in 1977 and designed and built by Iranian architects. The museum building itself is an outstanding example of contemporary architecture, making it one of the most popular and most visited museums in Iran.

Most of the museum is located underground and houses one of the world’s most valuable collections of Western modern art outside of Europe and the United States. It also holds one of the richest collections of contemporary art treasures in the world and has long been considered one of the most important Asian museums in the global contemporary art scene. The collection spans works by over 50 Western modern art masters from the early 20th century to the late 1970s, including iconic pieces by artists such as Kandinsky, Jackson Pollock, Ensor, Édouard Vuillard, Baskin, Monet, and Picasso. Even though some masters are represented by only a single painting, those works play a connecting role in the broader narrative of modern art history.
