Beijing Bird Park
Introduction The Bird Park is currently the only bird-watching and conservation center in Beijing, covering a total area of approximately 100 acres. In the park stands a giant bird net with a central height of 40 meters and side nets at 18 meters, spanning an area of 22,000 square meters. The net currently houses nearly 100 species and over 2,500 birds, with plans to gradually increase this number. Many of the bird species in the park are classified as first or second-class protected animals in China, such as the brown eared pheasant, red-crowned crane, green peafowl, and Lady Amherst's pheasant. There are also species that have traveled from afar to Beijing, such as black swans and emus from Australia. Visitors can enjoy the colorful and rare birds in a simulated natural environment, listen to their melodious songs, and even experience the joy of feeding them—creating a delightful harmony between humans and birds. In the midst of the concrete jungle of the metropolis, the Bird Park offers a refreshing escape with its lush shade, gentle breezes, and birdsong.
