The World Islands

　The “World Islands” (The World Islands) are located off the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Each island has an area ranging from 23,000 to 83,600 square meters, and adjacent islands are separated by at least 50 meters of sea. The original intention behind creating this geographical marvel was to form a miniature version of the Earth using 300 man-made islands shaped to resemble the continents of the world. The “World Islands” are the largest artificial archipelago in the world. These islands will feature hotels and a variety of leisure and tourism facilities, and the overall scale of the project is hailed as a modern-day “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
