They park supercars here—even Lamborghinis serve as police cars in Dubai? No big deal.

Located in the Middle East, Dubai has always projected an image of luxury—not only building the world’s tallest tower but alsothe world’s largest garden; butusing a Lamborghini worth $25.38 million as a police caris truly the pinnacle of luxury. But if you travel to Dubai, would you actually see a Lamborghini police car on the road? With such supercars, are the city streets in Dubai wide enough for them?

ETtoday reporters interviewed Mr. Lin Ruwei, a senior tour product manager at Southeast Travel Service. Lin said, “In fact, in Dubai, a generally wealthy country, supercars like Lamborghinis are commonly seen all over the city. In front of hotels and restaurants, most of the parked cars are also supercars!” Lin also noted that Dubai’s urban streets are new and the infrastructure is highly developed, so driving a Lamborghini is absolutely no problem—though he hasn’t personally seen a “Lamborghini police car” on the road. Lin added that Dubai is also beginning to develop its own new models of sports cars, aiming to establish a domestic supercar brand.

In the past four years, Dubai’s tourist arrivals have risen sharply. Reasons include the completion of the so-called “seven-star” Burj Al Arab hotel, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. The city’s blend of modernity and tradition has made many people list Dubai as one of the must-visit destinations in their lifetime.

Although domestic travel itineraries don’t include experiencing supercars in Dubai, some operators offer trips to Dubai’s neighbor, Abu Dhabi, which includes visits to the world’s largest indoor theme park, Ferrari World. Visitors can experience various F1 racing simulators and the world’s fastest roller coaster there.
