Spring Scream hands over the baton!“East Coast Music Festival” kicks off at dawn in late April

With events in North Gongliao, South Spring Scream, and Kaohsiung’s Big Port, the “Hello Taitung！2013 East Coast Music Festival” greets the nation with the power of music. The Taitung County Government and the Eastern Coastal National Scenic Area Administration under the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (hereinafter referred to as the East Coast Administration) jointly organize the “2013 East Coast Music Festival.” This year (2013), the main events of the music festival will take place on April 26 and April 27 at the Seaside Park in Taitung City.

The biennial East Coast Music Festival takes place this year on April 26 and 27. The entire music festival is designed around the concept of connecting coastal scenic spots. The two-day main events are set in Taitung City, with the Dawn Music Concert at Sanxiantai on the morning of April 27. In the afternoon, there will be a workshop at Xiaoyeliu Recreation Area, where music creators such as Teacher Wang Zhiping, Yen Wei-ling × Shangri-La, and others will share their creative journeys, filling the beautiful eastern coastline with musical notes.

In terms of performers, Sodagreen and Fish Leong have been invited to perform. In addition, this year’s East Coast Music Festival pioneers a Dawn Music Concert at 5 AM on April 27 at the Sanxiantai Recreation Area, featuring a cross-genre collaboration between Asian pop piano king V.K克 and the Taitung University Wind Orchestra. They will welcome Taiwan’s first ray of sunlight on the main island with the most beautiful melodies, alongside other groups such as Super Idol’s Jiang Mingjuan, Golden Melody Award-winning group Nanwang Sisters, Echo from the Model King Avenue, Starry Magic King Qiu Haoxiang, Wu Yingjing, and other outstanding and emerging musicians from Taitung.

The event site also features a handmade market, showcasing craft products by artists. Meanwhile, the Taitung County Tourism Association is holding its first Local Specialty Food and Snack Exhibition, gathering 40 well-known local snack and souvenir shops for on-site sales. Visitors can purchase a variety of Taitung’s representative gifts and handicrafts all in one place at the event.
