Cuc Phuong National Park is located 120 kilometers southwest of Hanoi. The park lies within a limestone mountainous region at an altitude of 200–600 meters, covering an area of 25,000 hectares. It is home to nearly 2,000 plant species, many of which are rare, as well as over 500 animal species, the majority of which are insects, most notably butterflies. From April to May each year, the park becomes a fluttering haven for colorful butterflies, attracting numerous visitors.
