Introduction

The Herb and Spice Garden on Sentosa was established in 1993 and houses over 250 varieties of herbs and spices, making it the largest of its kind locally and the most comprehensive in Southeast Asia. Some parts of the garden are open to the public free of charge. However, smaller gardens featuring rare species require group bookings and paid entry.

It’s hard to tell herbs and spices apart here. To the untrained eye, the distinctions may not be obvious, but to the knowledgeable, treasures abound. The pesticide-free gardens attract butterflies throughout. The herb garden also has small stalls selling herb-related books, freshly made herbal flower teas (such as stevia tea and mulberry leaf tea), food, and more.
