Clifford Aquarium

Introduction

Clifford Aquarium is one of the world's most renowned modern aquariums. It was built with a donation of 100,000 Singapore dollars from Clifford, a Dutch expatriate who lived in Singapore. The aquarium houses over 500 species of fish, among which the most eye-catching include the lanternfish, arowana, piranha, shark-faced fish, goby, red arowana, and golden arowana. At the entrance to the exhibition hall, there are over 20 piranhas from the Amazon River in South America. Though small in size and with golden scales, they are extremely ferocious, with knife-like teeth that can devour a large chunk of meat in just minutes. The ambient sound of ocean waves played throughout the aquarium gives visitors the sensation of being on a seashore, watching schools of fish playing in the surf. Transportation
