Introduction

Haw Par Villa, also known as "Haw Par Tiger Balm Garden," was built in 1937 and is located on a hillside along Pasir Panjang Road on the western coast of Singapore overlooking the sea. The park features lifelike sculptures of animals such as eagles, deer, tigers, sheep, and rabbits; statues of historical figures such as Confucius and Li Shizhen; statues of characters from classic Chinese literary works such as "The Investiture of the Gods" and "Journey to the West"; a sculpture depicting the Chinese folktale “Wang Xiang Lying on Ice to Catch a Fish”; as well as statues based on other Chinese legends such as The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, Journey to the West, Jiang Ziya Fishing, the Oath of the Peach Garden, and the Burning of the Red Lotus Temple. The "America" corner of the villa has a replica of the Statue of Liberty, the "Australia" corner features a kangaroo statue, and the "Japan" corner includes a model of Mount Fuji, adding an international flair. Haw Par Villa's "Genesis Theatre" screens a 3D film about Pangu creating the world, offering a spectacular visual experience; the "Oriental Spirit Theatre" introduces traditional Chinese festivals, using laser, high-fidelity sound, and visuals to create festive atmospheres; the "Torrents Secret Realm" combines a high-altitude Ferris wheel with a water park water scooter ride to take visitors through a mythical world; the "Ten Thousand Immortals Stage" showcases scenes of dragons and the South China Sea; the "Puppet Theatre" performs ancient Chinese mythological stories; and the "Dragon Legend" immerses visitors in a spooky and mysterious fantasy realm.
