World of Insects: Asia’s largest insect museum, showcasing over 4,000 species of insects and specimens, including the world’s largest beetle: the 160-centimeter-long Dynastes Hercules Beetle. Musical Fountain: A water spectacle that combines advanced laser technology, imagery, 3D animation, and music to create one of Sentosa’s most enchanting nighttime attractions. Images of Singapore: A wax museum depicting the nation’s history from the 14th century to the present. Herbal Garden: Boasts over 250 species of medicinal herbs and spices, making it the most comprehensive such garden in Southeast Asia. IMAX Theatre: Singapore’s first cinema combining touch, visuals, and sound.

Maritime Museum: Traces the evolution of Singapore’s harbor from the 5th century to the present, displaying various maritime tools and development milestones. Mount Imbiah: Every 30 minutes, the volcano “erupts” on schedule, with bright red “lava” spurting out, creating a truly realistic experience. 4D AdventureLand: Combines 3D stereoscopic technology for a revolutionary four-dimensional effect. Sentosa Orchid Garden: Not only is it covered in orchids, but also features an observation tower, flower clock, koi pond, “Bell of Happiness,” Japanese Garden, and other attractions. Asian Village: Divided into East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia sections, it showcases representative architecture from various countries and offers a taste of different local cultures. “Sentosa” means “peace and tranquility” in Malay. It is just half a kilometer from mainland Singapore and is connected to the main island by a causeway. The island continues Singapore’s reputation as a “City in a Garden,” with lush greenery as far as the eye can see. You can enjoy the sea breeze on the beach, hike for scenic views, explore the mysterious natural world, or seek thrilling sensory experiences. Whether day or night, Sentosa constantly shares all its beauty and joy. There are three uniquely charming beaches on the island: Tanjong Beach, Palawan Beach, and Siloso Beach. The most serene and elegant is Tanjong Beach, filled with a laid-back atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing stroll or sunbathing. A suspension bridge connects Palawan Beach to a small neighboring island, which is the southernmost tip of continental Asia. Siloso Beach offers a variety of beach activities, including canoeing, paddleboarding, cycling, and rollerblading. It’s also a paradise for beach volleyball enthusiasts. A beach carnival is also held here on New Year’s Day. Tips: 1. Pets are not allowed on island buses or cable cars.

Dining: The island has dedicated dining areas where you can sample cuisine from various Asian countries, especially specialties from Southeast Asia. Accommodation: Options range from luxury hotels to affordable resorts, while many young people prefer camping to relax in nature. Transportation

Getting to the Island: 1. Take the MRT NE line to HarbourFront Station (NE1), then transfer to the orange shuttle bus at HarbourFront Bus Interchange. 2. Take buses 30, 65, 80, 97, 100, 131, 145, 166, or 855, alight at Telok Blangah Road, then transfer to the orange shuttle bus at HarbourFront Bus Interchange. Orange bus fare: 1 SGD.

3. Ferry: Ferries operate Monday to Friday from 9:30–22:00, and Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays from 8:30–22:00. The journey takes 15 minutes. Ferry fare: 2.3 SGD. 4. Island Transport: Island buses run on red, yellow, and blue lines, with electronic displays at the front of each bus indicating the route. All routes start and end at the Sentosa Visitor Centre.
