The National Museum of Singapore is located in the Museum Planning Area on Stamford Road, Singapore. It is a national museum and the oldest museum in Singapore's history. The precursor of the Singapore Museum was merely part of a library belonging to a public institution, and after numerous changes and relocations, it evolved into its current form.

The museum as a whole features a Neo-Palladian and Renaissance architectural style, perfectly blending ancient and modern architectural elements. It houses a 2,800-square-meter permanent gallery exhibition space, where all displays tell the comprehensive story of Singapore’s history from the 14th century to the present. Modern technology is employed to engage visitors through visual, auditory, and tactile experiences, offering a holistic understanding of each exhibit. The newly added Culture Gallery preserves the multicultural essence of Singapore, allowing visitors to explore the country’s ancient and modern cultural life through food, film, and photography.
