Fountain of Wealth

The Fountain of Wealth is located in the central area of Suntec City Mall and is reputed to be the world's largest fountain, serving as one of Singapore’s iconic landmarks. The design of the fountain is inspired by the mandala concepts of Buddhism and Hinduism, using a giant circular base to symbolize wholeness and completeness as an endless source of power. It also conveys the builders' aspiration for all ethnic groups to live together in harmony and unity.

The Fountain of Wealth consists of four slanted massive bronze pillars, topped with a 66-meter-diameter bronze ring. The entire structure stands 13.8 meters tall. Covering an area of 1,683.07 square meters, the fountain can shoot water jets up to 30 meters high. The ground surrounding the fountain features zodiac animal patterns. It is said that walking clockwise around the center of the fountain three times can attract wealth and bring good luck. Additionally, when the fountain is in full spray mode, it generates negative ions that are believed to be beneficial to health, something feng shui practitioners claim helps promote well-being. Every evening at 8 PM, there is a multimedia fountain show at the Fountain of Wealth. Visitors are encouraged to watch as the interplay of light and water creates a truly magical spectacle.

Surrounding the Fountain of Wealth are five buildings marked with the numbers 1 through 5 in English, representing the five fingers of a hand. Their layout follows the shape of a palm, symbolizing the idea of holding wealth in the palm of your hand.
