National University of Singapore Museum

The National University of Singapore Museum was established in 1997 on the picturesque Kent Ridge Campus of the National University. Its mission is to enrich the historical experience of the university’s students and deepen their understanding of Asian art and heritage through strategic acquisitions and the broad collection of artworks for exhibition and research.

The museum houses a collection of over 7,500 artifacts and artworks, divided into four sections: the Lee Kong Chian Gallery, the South and Southeast Asia Gallery, the Ng Eng Teng Gallery, and the Peranakan Gallery. The Lee Kong Chian Gallery primarily features Chinese art from ancient to contemporary times; the South and Southeast Asia Gallery focuses on the collection of classical Indian sculptures; the Ng Eng Teng Gallery showcases more than 1,000 artworks donated by the renowned Singapore sculptor; and the Peranakan Gallery displays the art of the Straits Chinese community. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 19:30, and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. It is closed on Mondays and public holidays.
